Assessment

I offer diagnostic assessments for a range of presenting concerns, focusing largely on mood and anxiety-related diagnoses. I have specific experience diagnosing the following concerns:

  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Anxiety Disorders (General Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Agoraphobia, etc.)

  • Mood Disorders (Major Depressive Disorder, Dysthymia/Persistent Depressive Disorder, etc.)

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Substance Use Disorders

I offer a supportive, trauma-informed approach to my assessment to help us get a clear understanding of your presenting concerns. My approach aims to gather the information needed to establish or clarify a possible diagnosis, capture individual strengths and weaknesses, and inform effective treatment and recommendations. My assessments typically include a semi-structured interview as well as the completion of a number of psychological tests based on your presenting concerns. I have specific experience preparing assessments for Veteran’s Affairs Canada (see form pen-6248e) and WSIB (see form 0201A).

The cost will vary based on the type of assessment and complexity of your presenting concerns. For Veterans Affairs Canada and WSIB, these agencies typically cover the full cost of an assessment. I only offer assessment services for psychological conditions within my scope of practice.
