Jim is an experienced, warm, and accomplished public speaker. Equally comfortable speaking to audiences of hundreds or to a handful of participants, Jim has given talks at York University, The Ontario Psychological Association, and to a number of private practices in the Greater Toronto Area.
Jim offers presentations and training sessions that delve into a variety of topics, bringing not only expertise but also a warm and engaging personal touch to each session. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of addressing a diverse range of audiences and professional groups on challenging subjects. including issues in clinical documentation, ethical challenges, goal setting with clients in psychotherapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) strategies for responding to overwhelming thoughts and emotions. Jim is especially interested in and comfortable speaking on the topic of Suicide Assessment and Intervention.
